Dr. Lisa Gonzales has been an amazing asset to Lakeside. We greatly appreciate all that she has contributed — hard to believe it’s been less than a year. She has updated the instructional and administrative programs in a number of areas that had been neglected, brought in resources from the county and other sources to reduce the burden on our budget, and improved communication across the district.
We’re sorry to see her go, but wish her the best and recognize that she leaves the district in a much better state.
As Dr. Gonzales mentioned, at next week’s board meeting on Tuesday, January 17th, the Board will discuss the transition and interim leadership plan, as well as begin the process of filling the long-term leadership needs.
I’ve met with Lakeside staff, and begun reaching out to individuals who may be able to fill the interim leadership and administrative needs. The documentation and processes that Dr. Gonzales has set up will be very helpful in ensuring a smooth transition.
Thanks in advance for everyone’s help and support!
