Dear Sacred Heart Community,
It was announced on March 2, 2022 that the indoor mask mandate for Orleans Parish was lifted.
Effective Monday, March 7, 2022, masks will be optional at both Academy of the Sacred Heart campuses for students, visitors and faculty/staff. This update is consistent with our ISAS peer schools and the archdiocese schools in Orleans Parish.
I encourage you to speak with your daughter prior to Monday about:
- How things have changed
- How some students will not wear masks and some still will choose to wear masks
- How their teachers are continuing to keep them safe and may choose to keep their masks on
Proof of vaccination is required for visitors of all school events, regardless of the time. The attendees who do not have proof of vaccination must show proof of negative COVID test results within a 72 hour window.
As the situation evolves and our infections/quarantines remain low, we may announce further changes.
