Vision: Lakeside students will achieve at their highest potential to be prepare for their future.

Mission: Our mission is to create independent learners with a rich and challenging curriculum, distinguished by instructional variety, innovation, and collaboration while fostering social-emotional strength.

We invite you to attend any and all of our meetings. Typically, School Board Meetings are held at 6:30 pm on the first Wednesday of each month in the Community Center building on the school campus. All of the materials and the agendas for meetings are posted on the District website prior to the Board meetings at http://www.lakesidelosgatos.org/index.php/2016/02/19/agendas/

The meeting of the School Board is a board meeting held in public. As such, there are certain rules we have to legally follow. Members of the audience may address the Board for 3 minutes by filling out a Speaker Card and will be called upon during the Board’s consideration of each item on the agenda. If items are not listed on the agenda, the trustees may ask the speaker(s) questions for clarity but according to law, cannot discuss or take action on these matters until such matters are appropriately placed on a future agenda. The Board can then determine if it want to allocate staff resources for further research, with information brought back to a future board meeting, if needed.

Beyond the School Board, Lakeside is by nature a parent involved community. Please consider donating time to any of the wonderful volunteer-based initiatives or organizations including Project Cornerstone, the PTA, and The Lakeside Schools Community Foundation.

We are excited about the academic year ahead and hope to see you at a Board Meeting in the near future.

Kind regards,

The 2016-2017 Lakeside Joint School District School Board
