April 6, 2020

Dear BBHS Families,

At 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, Governor Inslee held a press conference along with Chris Reykdal, Superintendent of Public Schools. They announced that K-12 campus closures have been extended through the remainder of this school year for all public and private schools, in order to continue statewide efforts to reduce the spread of coronavirus and the incidence of COVID-19. Therefore, our Digital Distance Learning Plan will remain in place through our scheduled year end, June 12, 2020.

While we may have all sensed this order was coming based on the recent news and professional projections, it is still difficult to hear. We know there will be many questions, particularly for seniors and their families. Our Leadership Team is meeting virtually tomorrow morning, and we will be reviewing all the impacts to our community, including activities, events and athletics. We will continue to communicate with you as soon as we are able.

Please know what won't change in this time of uncertainty is our faculty and staff's dedication to our families and students. We continue to hold on to the essence of our school spirit, and our genuine care for all those who make up our community.

Sincerely,

Tony DeSapio
President
