Dear Valued Attorneys, Agents and Stakeholders,

As the real estate market slowly improved over the past year, we focused on strengthening CATIC to perform consistently in any environment and across market cycles. In 2025, we built a stronger, more resilient organization designed for the future of real estate transactions. Our work centered on reinforcing stability, improving operations, and preparing for a digital, data-driven closing environment.

Bolstered our Capital Position

For the first time in our history, we brought in a minority investor that infused new capital into the organization while preserving our independence and attorney- and agent-centric model. This strategic investment further strengthened our balance sheet and enhanced our long-term financial flexibility. We also restructured our operations, creating a leaner, more agile organization that is serving more customers with greater consistency, accountability, and efficiency. The restructuring, along with the adoption of new technologies, enabled us to increase revenue while reducing controllable expenses. As a result, CATIC entered 2026 with more than $100 million in assets and approximately $40 million in surplus supporting the insurance policies we issue.

Pursuing Growth with Purpose

We also continued to pursue growth purposefully. Over the past five years, we expanded into 16 additional states and now are able to insure transactions in 27 states while also insuring mortgages from well over a thousand lending institutions nationwide. This geographic diversification reduces concentration risk and allows us to follow our agents and their clients wherever they do business.

At the same time, we have continued to strengthen how we operate. Regional underwriting collaboration, workflow automation, and selective use of technology allow our teams to focus on judgment rather than paperwork — the part of title insurance work that truly protects property owners. Our goal is straightforward: safer, more predictable transactions for attorneys, agents and lenders.

We are also preparing for the next era of title insurance. Fraud, impersonation and fragmented land records are not theoretical risks; they are daily realities. We are at the forefront of evaluating new tools and technology, including those powered by AI, that will support our people in improving verification, reducing cost to consumers, and strengthening the closing process. CATIC has always been an innovator in the title insurance business and as new technologies emerge, our role is to test thoughtfully, adopt carefully, and deliver practical solutions that help you succeed.

What has not changed is who we are. For 60 years we have remained independent so we can partner with you, not compete with you and we look forward to continued partnerships for the next 60 years. Most of our customers are small businesses, and we operate with that same mindset – accessible, collaborative, and accountable to the relationships we build over time.

Markets rise and fall. Our responsibility is to remain dependable through both. The actions we took in 2025 were designed to position CATIC for the future of this industry, not simply the next market cycle. A stronger foundation, disciplined operations and responsible innovation ensure that you can continue to rely on us with confidence for the next 60 years.

Thank you for the trust you place in us every day.
