Good Afternoon Dodge Park Family and Friends

Update on the testing

We retest all facility staff and residents again last Monday, May 20, 2020 due to positive finding with the lab tests of last week. Results just came this morning.

Two residents came back positive.
One employee came back positive

Unfortunately our labs (Ammon Lab), report time is now 5 to 7 working days from the day they receive the test kits. Its currently the same situation with most labs in the US. Many of them are overloaded due to testing backlog.

We are planning to retest all residents and staff again today
July 27, 2020 (testing is in process as we speak).

We all hope to contain the situation and the spread in the the next 2 weeks. The concern was always about asymptomatic employees and residents.

For the time being we are also suspending visitation in the facility. We hope to resume them subject to the results of the coming tests in the next 2 weeks.

We will keep you posted on regular base on any new development. We do apologies that we are suspending visitation as I know how hard it is to all of you and how eager are you to visit your loved one.

Comprehensive Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Guidance

Effective July 6, 2020 DPH came out with a new comprehensive PPE guidance. The big difference with the new protocol is that even a negative COVID facility (Like Oasis at Dodge Park) must start using eye protections and gowns at all time while in resident care area. We provided all our staff with goggles/face mask per their choice and washable protective gowns to use at all time while in resident care area. So if you come and visit us, dont get worry if we see all our staff with full PPE. It is for the protection of our residents and staff.
