A Christ-centered community,
provides excellence in education
to meet the needs of the whole child.
November 6, 2019
Dear Parents,

As I reflect on the myriad activities that took place last week, I cannot help but express my gratitude to parents who assisted at the fall parties, gathered together for our costume parade, and celebrated All Saints Day by attending 8 am Mass with the entire school community. What an amazing faith-filled community we are blessed to have! The OLMC teachers and staff were so thankful for the PTO mothers who arranged for a delightful luncheon last Thursday; the decorations were so tastefully and creatively done and the warm, delicious meal was the perfect fit for such a cool autumn day. Also, I am thankful for all of our mothers and fathers who attended the Parent/Teacher Conferences. Those meetings always bear much fruit and unite teachers and parents in the common good of each child. Thank you for being active participants in your children’s education and for intentionally partnering with us as we all strive to meet the needs of each child.

Blessings on your week!
Sister Maria Benedicta, O.P.

Book Bill Payments:
The second half of the book bill payment is not due this year until Nov 30.  Historically, it has been due the day of Parent/Teacher conferences. This date was changed to Nov. 30 last year.

Of course, we will always accept payments early. Please check your records to check the balance of what your family owes toward your Book Bill Payment.

Email Val in the church office at [email protected] if you need your balance due.
Nurses Notes:

Prevention is the best medicine. Get plenty of sleep, stay hydrated, wash your hands, cover your cough and keep your hands away from your face.

If your child is going to be absent from school, please email [email protected] by 9am. Please refer to page 25 of the Family Policy Guide for reasons to keep your child home from school due to illness. Page 11 outlines the Make Up Work guidelines for each grade level.

Box Top Update:
Our fall submission for box tops earned the school $221.60.

Make sure you download the new BoxTops for Education App on your phone. The new system allows you to just take a picture of your receipt and it will calculate how many Box Top items you purchased. No more cutting!

Lost & Found
Check the picture to see if anything belongs to your family.
Lots of new items this week. We strongly recommend putting names in all uniform clothing, water bottles, coats, hats, etc. Even if it is just a family last name - we do check and return items that are labeled!

Items are kept for several weeks and then donated to the Used Uniform Committee or the Merciful H.E.L.P. Center.
Moms of Our Lady Prayer Group:
We are a drop-in prayer group each Friday at 9:30, hosted in the home of an OLMC mom. All are welcome to join us - just show up!
