In this sermon we will learn about another Abrahamic religion, Islam. We will explore how the people of Islam understand Jesus, Islamic beliefs, and where we find points of connection and divergence as Christians. We have been working on an inventory of all of our keys here in the office. We don't have adequate records of who currently has keys to the church or rooms in the church.

WAYS TO SERVE

HESED HOUSE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY


Since the 1980’s UMCG members have volunteered to serve meals at Hesed House once monthly. Many of us have participated in this ministry, but we are always in need of new volunteers, especially for the morning breakfast shift.



If you are an early riser, you’re definitely cut out for this 3 hour per month opportunity to serve God and neighbor and enjoy some great company at the same time!

THE FOOD PANTRY NEEDS FOR FEBRUARY ARE:


  • boxed meals (Hamburger Helper type)
  • dry, boxed potatoes
  • pasta sauce
  • canned beans (not green or black)
  • canned fruit (except peaches)
  • canned ravioli or SpaghettiO's
