The Book of Romans - Pr Marvin Henschel - South Pod 9E
Pastor Henschel is starting a new class on the Book of Romans, the 16 Chapter New Testament Epistle. The basic theme of St. Paul’s monumental work is “righeousness” - how Jesus’ perfect righteousness covers man’s unrighteousness.
Paul’s Missonary Journeys - Vicar Myron Harms - S Pod (7E)
In this study we will explore Paul’s efforts to spread the message of the Gospel to all the ends of the earth. We will also see how the challenges of Paul’s missionary journeys can help us in exploring our own opportunities to tell others about the Savior as well.
The Sermon on the Mount - Linda Hinkle - Conference Room 15E - Women’s Bible Study
Join us for this new series that explores Jesus’ teachings in His Sermon on the Mount. The Sermon on the Mount is a collection of parables and lessons found in the Gospel of Matthew. It includes the Beatitudes and the Lord’s Prayer.
Young Adults (College Age + Older) - Angee Allen - Prayer Chapel
Life's Big Questions, God's Big Answers
Do you have a good answer for why you're a Christian? Why do you believe? Do you have a good defense for why you believe what you do? There is a good answer to the question of why you are a Christian. Come and think about this and more.
Weekday Bible Class Opportunities
Sisters in Christ Bible Class - Wednesdays, 9:30am - Starting September 9 - South Pod
All women of Messiah, you are warmly invited to join our weekly class. We will be studying “Be Thou My Guide” a Bible study on trusting God. This women’s study uses the accounts of nine Biblical figures to develop deeper trust in the Lord and His ways, by Margo Heath-Dupree (CPH). Sister in Christ is a wonderful way to connect with other women of Messiah for Christian fellowship and spiritual growth. If you are interested, please contact Kathy Brown.
Men with a Misson - Tuesday, October 20, 6pm - South Pod
We are continuing our study called Big Questions/Biblical Answers. Join us for a great meal and study time together. If attending, please contact Myron.

Collect Those Pull Tabs
As you have been enjoying your favorite canned beverages, remember to remove and collect the pull tabs from your aluminum cans. Place your collected pull tabs in the specially marked jar at the Messiah Care Corner. All pull tabs are recycled and proceeds go toward the Ronald McDonald House, who are most appreciative to receive the gifts.
Messiah Share Little Free Food Pantry - Available 9-5 Monday Thru Friday
A public food pantry is now available for anyone who is in need of food. We encourage you to help keep the pantry stocked and share what you can to keep these much needed sources of food stocked with non-perishable food. Simply place your donated food items inside the pantry whenever you visit the Messiah building. For more questions, please contact Kelly Baker.
Operation Christmas Child - Start Collecting your donations!
It’s time to start thinking about packing shoeboxes for this annual ministry. It’s a good time to pick up school supplies and other items at inexpensive prices. Our Messiah School students will be helping again this year. For a list of suppliles, go the samaritanspurse.org. Drop your donations off in the specially marked boxes located in the church Narthex or School entryway. For details and more info, contact Sue Wackerly.
MESSIAH LUTHERAN SCHOOL & MESSIAH CHILD CARE & LEARNING CENTER
Our goal is to have computers in the hands of our students (Surface Go's) and laptops for our classroom teachers (Surface 7's) as soon as possible. Since the pandemic was sprung upon us all earlier this year, this was not something we (nor our school families) had budgeted for in our 2020 budget. We will need an additional $45,360 to put a machine in hands of each student and teacher. If you feel led to make a special gift to help with this immediate need, please ear mark your check/gift: "Messiah School Technology Fund". You can also give your gift through our Realm App:
We are fundraising again this year, and seeking donations of goods or services to benefit our wonderful school. More details will be coming soon about the auction itself. If you, or someone you know, is interested in donating, please have them contact Clary.

Time has been working recently to restore the windows in the Oklahoma State Capitol. For more info, and to sign up, please contact Myron in the church office.
Our Door Codes Have Changed
As it happens regularly around here, the codes for door access to the church and school are changing. On Monday, September 28, we will be changing the codes for the (south) Narthex door, the CCLC Door, the (north) School/Gym door and the (east) Office entry door. If you are a member in the position of needing the new door code, please contact your staff representative.
