15 year old - Madison Messimer Repeats win
2022 WSCGA Junior Girls State Championship Title
Madison Messimer from The Dunes Golf & Beach Club went into today's final round with a fourteen shot lead and didn't slow down posting her third consecutive round in the 60's with a 4 under 68 for her final round and a three day total of sixteen under 200. Messimer set the WSCGA Junior Girls Championship career low record, WSCGA all time career low record, Arcadian Shores Golf Club three day course record for women, just two shots back from their all time three day course record set by Derek Watson with a 198. There was a tight race for second between Mia Grey, Olivia Pellerin, and Caroline Hawkins. Grey pulled out the second place finish posting a final round 71 for a three day total of 222 edging Pellerin (223) by one and Hawkins (224) by two.

After the second round the field was flighted into two flights, going into the final round there was a two way tie for the lead. The battle for Second Flight title was fierce but Emerson Devers pulled out the win by one shot over Grace Lindsey shooting 234 and 235 respectively.

This year we had our first 11 & under division in a few years and she played great. A.C Peake from Three Pines Country Club posted 43-44-48= 135 to secure the division title.

Our top 3 finisher carded 31 birdies during the tournament; 21 of them by Messimer
Over three days Messimer birdied every hole except three of them
Caroline Hawkins posted 6 birdies in her final round
2022 GA/SC Junior Girls Challenge Team Matches

The race for the six spots on the South Carolina Team for the 2022 GA/SC Girls Junior Challenge Match at Ford Field and River Club was up in the air going into the final round. Birdies were flying and putts were being made to clinch the top six spots of the team along with the two alternate positions. The 2022 GA/SC team is Madison Messimer, Mia Grey, Caroline Hawkins, Olivia Pellerin, Olivia Ireland, and Cara Hilburn. Securing the first alternate spot in a 2 player playoff was Taylor Reaves and 2nd Alternate is Savannah Sansom. The 2022 GA/SC Matches are August 6th and 7th at Ford Field and River Club in Richmond Hill, GA where SC will defend their title.
