METALCON OFFERS TWO GENERAL SESSIONS WITH FULL CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
Attendees will gain valuable industry knowledge by attending not only one general session, but two at this year’s METALCON.  Wednesday morning, October 26, Roderick Jackson with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) will present on the Future Design and Technology Trends in Construction.  ORNL is managed by UT-Battelle for the Department of Energy’s Office of Science and is leading the charge on innovative methods to use technology combined into one package that will show where design, build and energy efforts can take us.  Thursday morning, October 27, Adam Kushner, Founding Principal with Kushner Studios, will present “Castles in the Sand: 3D Printing in Construction” and provide insight into the future of 3D printing by walking attendees through the application for one of his projects located in Gardiner, NY.  Each general session will run from 9:00 am – 9:45 am.  For more details on these general sessions and the full conference program, click HERE.  Register by August 31 and save with the Early Bird rates.

BALTIMORE’S PATRIOTIC HISTORY
With our recent celebration of America’s birthday, there is no better place to visit than one of America’s most patriotic cities and a city with centuries of history.  While in Baltimore, visitors can explore the beginnings of the American railroad at the B&O Railroad Museum , visit the USS Constellation , the last all-sail Civil War ship still afloat in the United States or visit the fort ( Fort McHenry ) where Francis Scott Key drew inspiration to pen the National Anthem during the War of 1812.  Visit the Maryland Historical Society’s Library and Museum in the Mount Vernon neighborhood to see the original manuscript of Francis Scott Key’s “The Star-Spangled Banner.”  Click HERE for a full list of the historical attractions you can visit while in Baltimore for METALCON 2016.
