Celebrating Methodist Services’ 145th and Heritage Farm’s 15th Anniversaries, 120 people gathered at Heritage Farm for an evening of delicious small plates and beverages, live music by the Ken Ulansey Ensemble, Heritage Farm tours and remarks by Methodist’s leadership. Attendees experienced a magical evening with views of the farm, cut lavender & rosemary centerpieces, a gentle summer breeze and a Farm Stand with fresh veggies for sale. Board members, community partners, old & new friends joined supporters to contribute over $25,000 to Methodist Services. Look for an encore in 2026!

At Methodist Services’ 145th Anniversary Celebration, Foster Angels on Earth received the 2025 Methodist Home for Children System – George Bonadio Leadership Award. This award acknowledges the consequential work that Foster Angels on Earth has done in partnership with Methodist Services. Foster Angels exemplifies compassion & hope, helping to bring stability & support to our children and families. We are grateful!

2025 marks the 15th Anniversary of Methodist Services’ Heritage Farm, Philadelphia’s long-tenured, sustainable urban farm. Heritage Farm provides 7,000 pounds of produce, annually, to our residents, program participants and the community at large. This same tilled land supplied food for children who lived in the orphanage in the 19th & 20th centuries.
