CURRIVEAN CORNER
WELCOME BACK TO METRO CHRISTIAN ACADEMY!
For several weeks our classrooms had been quiet, our hallways had been empty, and our playgrounds had been still. But, now the children are coming back, and what a wonderful difference that makes!
Providing snapshots of the Day of the Lord when He brings ultimate peace and healing to earth, God gives us pictures of that provision. One such picture is of boys and girls gathering, playing, and making noise together (cf.
Zechariah 8:5
).
Granted, after several weeks of quarantine, many stay-at-home parents are probably quite ready for a little quiet. Consider for a moment, however, this peculiar portrait of peace portrayed by the prophet:
Children
gathering, playing,
and
making noise together
.
In a sense, one could say that our Camp Patriot,
Return to Athletics, Return to School,
back-to-school events, lunch time, and even recess are a foretaste of glory to come: A time when young ones can be freed from the troubles and cares of this world.
Free to enjoy their Creator. Free to gather. Free to play. Free even to make (some!) noise.
