Volunteer Opportunities
As our facility ages, more small repair and maintenance work is needed to keep things up to date and fresh. If you have handyman (or woman) skills, would you be able to spare a few hours a month? We have the need for painting, cleaning, gardening, light plumbing maintenance and things we've not thought of yet! The church will supply the materials, and if we have many volunteers, the tasks can be easily shared without becoming burdensome. A huge thank you to those who have already been involved in painting and various repairs. If you are interested, please call or text Keith Roberson (405-227-7949), or Kris Roberson (405-818-3653).
Operation Christmas Child
offers you an opportunity to serve. This November, Metropolitan will once again act as a collection center for shoebox gifts. If you would like to volunteer to help with this outreach, contact Judy Heritage (405-620-1730).
Ladies, join us on Sunday, November 4, at 6:00 p.m. as Lindsay Edison of  Lecalligraphy teaches an introduction to Brush Lettering. Sign up online or by calling or texting Cindy Wilcox at 405-210-0935 by October 26. A cost of $20 includes pen and paper.
The Fall Festival
for children is scheduled for Wednesday, October 24, at 6:45 p.m. Invite unchurched neighbors. This could be a way to introduce new families to our children's ministries. Games, inflatables, and treats will make this a fun evening for boys and girls.
Sing with Joy in the Choir
We have begun rehearsing Christmas music for the night of December 9. Join us on Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. in the choir room (MB 122, next to the offices) for inspirational and enjoyable rehearsals. There's plenty of room in the choir loft for you!
There's Still Time
B&W World Map to turn in a pledge card for Faith Promise giving. This card will help our Missions Committee in planning for the next year of giving to our current missionaries and whether or not we are able to add new ones. Prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you give to missions, then fill out the yellow card in your Sunday School class or in the pews in the auditorium. Your pledge is anonymous. Turning in this amount will be used for planning purposes only.
