County Executive visits CompassRed's innovation lab
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer visited CompassRed's innovation lab at CSC Station in Wilmington last week to see how the company is using a CARES Act grant from the county to implement groundbreaking technology for data visualization. Officials hand out Turkeys before Thanksgiving for those in need
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer joined Wilmington City Councilwoman Michelle Harlee (District 4) and Scott AME Zion Church for a turkey giveaway at the Bethel Village Apartments in Wilmington last week. Residents received a free turkey and canned goods to help those in need ensure they had food to put on the table for the Thanksgiving Holiday on Thursday. Delaware State begins hiring for County supported testing lab
Delaware State University is hiring for the new testing facility that will be housed within the university's Kirkwood Highway campus. The testing facility is being constructed thanks to a CARES Act grant from the New Castle County Government announced last month. The lab will help decrease the county's already quick turnaround for COVID-19 and other disease tests. To see job postings and apply for a position at the new lab, CLICK HERE.
County continues offering pop-up testing sites next week
New Castle County will continue offering regular pop-up testing sites across the county, in addition regular testing sites operated by the State of Delaware. Any resident can get tested regardless of symptoms and tests are free, quick, easy and painless. Results are usually returned in 24-48 hours.
