County, Food Bank deliver thousands of turkeys at drive thru
County Executive Matt Meyer and members of the New Castle County Government's executive leadership team handed out hundreds of turkeys to those in need on Monday morning at a drive through food distribution event held in partnership with the Food Bank of Delaware. With food insecurity in the State of Delaware and New Castle County at an all-time high, the turkeys will feed thousands. To see video of the turkey distribution, CLICK HERE.
County, NERDiT Now partner to distribute hundreds of computers
County Executive Matt Meyer joined NERDiT Now's Markevis Gideon at the NERDiT Now Foundation in Newport on Tuesday morning to help distribute computers to those in need. Through support from the federal CARES Act, New Castle County was able to ensure NERDiT Now was able to refurbish over 1,000 computers to help close the digital divide during the pandemic. County continues offering pop-up testing sites next week
New Castle County will continue offering regular pop-up testing sites across the county, in addition regular testing sites operated by the State of Delaware. Any resident can get tested regardless of symptoms and tests are free, quick, easy and painless. Results are usually returned in 24-48 hours.
