Community Conversations: Series of virtual town halls kicks off tonight
County Executive Matt Meyer will host a live and interactive discussion beginning at 6pm tonight covering this year's budget proposal and to hear first-hand from constituents on issues that are important to them. Guests are encouraged to visit the New Castle County Facebook Page (CLICK HERE) to view the town hall, post their questions and receive responses.
WDEL highlights "Tales of Hope" from NCCo. Hope Center
WDEL has kicked off a series of stories focused on those calling The Hope Center home since New Castle County converted the former Sheraton Hotel into a 200-room homeless shelter and transitional housing center. Rising Makers' Yashas Anapindi donates 200 face shields to county
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer met with Rising Maker Yashas Anapindi, a senior at Garnet Valley High School to receive a donation of over 200 face shields to be used at New Castle County's COVID-19 testing sites. Pop-up COVID-19 testing sites continue next week
New Castle County will continue offering regular pop-up testing sites across the county, in addition to regular testing sites operated by the State of Delaware. Any resident can get tested regardless of symptoms and tests are free, quick, easy and painless. Results are usually returned in 24-48 hours.
