County, DSU cut the ribbon on new molecular diagnostic lab
County Executive Matt Meyer joined Senator Chris Coons, Senator Tom Carper and Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester as well Delaware State University President Tony Allen and other officials to cut the ribbon on the new molecular diagnostic and COVID-19 testing laboratory at Delaware State's Kirkwood Highway Campus. County Executive participates in World Read Aloud Day
New Castle County County Executive Matt Meyer participated in World Read Aloud Day, joining the New Castle County Libraries to read "Thank You, Omu!" virtually on Facebook Live. The New Castle County Libraries Facebook Page featured readers throughout the day reading children's books including other officials and even authors sharing their own work. Charuni Patibanda hired as new Director of Economic Development
County Executive Matt Meyer has hired Delaware-native Charuni Patibanda as New Castle County's new Director of Economic Development. Patibanda is a Tower Hill graduate and has most recently served as the president of The McOsker Group, a consulting firm she co-founded in California. Previously she served as an attorney with Sheppard Mullin and Glaser Weil in Los Angeles. To read more about her appointment, CLICK HERE.
County continues offering pop-up testing sites next week
New Castle County will continue offering regular pop-up testing sites across the county, in addition to regular testing sites operated by the State of Delaware. Any resident can get tested regardless of symptoms and tests are free, quick, easy and painless. Results are usually returned in 24-48 hours.
