A Message from

MiDA Advisors CEO

Happy Women’s History Month! At MiDA Advisors, we are committed to empowering women, families, and communities through economic empowerment.

In this newsletter, we highlight a particular accomplishment that demonstrates that making a positive impact in Africa requires an objective review of the fundamentals and taking a long-term approach to being part of solutions. I am pleased to share that earlier this month, MiDA Advisors in partnership with Prosper Africa announced the financial close of $274 million in an innovative transaction that will provide financing for mortgage loans for approximately 6000 households in West Africa. This is a long-term solution to build economic empowerment.  Despite short-term turbulences, a global health pandemic, and political instability in neighboring countries, business activities in many vibrant markets across the vast Continent remained resilient to shocks and continued to outperform. Mortgage loans default rates remained considerably low, and the banking sector continued to perform well within broad prudential ratios. This 17-year financing is an investment in the long-term, economic and demographic fundamentals in Africa, and allows institutional investors globally to expand their exposure on the Continent with enhanced protections. We are excited to share details about this important milestone in this newsletter, along with other updates. Should you have any questions, please do reach out to us.

With warm regards,

Aymeric Saha
