NWEA Files

The Michigan DataHub team will be inactivating the NWEA integration until the Fall 2024-2025 assessment data has been made available. No action is needed by districts. Once the data has been released by NWEA, we will reactivate the integration. Thank you to the districts that reported errors with their integration. Without data for the current year, we believe this is the best course of action until the Fall data is available. If you were unable to load your 2023-2024 NWEA data into your 2023-2024 ODS, please open a ticket with MiServiceDesk so we can review and assist.

Set Your Active Year in the Cockpit

The pull-down menu labeled Current School Year in the MiDataHub Cockpit will determine the school year designated as the current school year for any inbound and outbound data integrations enabled in your Cockpit, and the default year reports, and validation scripts will run against. The 2024-2025 ODS have been auto generated and are now available for your district to begin publishing data to your MiDataHub ODS. It is recommended to select the current school year from this pull-down menu. To complete this step login to the MiDataHub and select the 2024-2025 school year and click the submit button. This will change your current school year to 2024-2025 and will ensure services your districts utilize at the start of the school year are functioning, ie Snack-Pack, UIC Services, etc.

Action Needed for 23g API

We are getting very close to having the API ready that will pull the 23g data required to be reported to the TA Center. So now, each district that received 23g funding needs to add the API to their ODS in the datahub. Please work with all of your districts to get this accomplished. Thank you!

To do this in your district's ODS:

  • Scroll down to API integrations and choose "Add Integration"
  • System Type - "Educational Analytics"
  • Vendor - "TA Center"
  • System - "23g Evaluation - v1"
  • Profile - "None"
  • Be sure "Allow viewing of credentials in management portal" is CHECKED (this allows the key and secret to be shared in a secure and encrypted manner. If you choose not to check this box, the district will need to get the key and secret over to the TA Center in a secure manner in a different way by contacting them directly).

Verify MiDataHub Cockpit Information

MiDataHub - Steps, Checks, and Procedures - This document will guide you through the entire start of the year process.

There is no better time to verify access to your MiDataHub Cockpit, than the beginning of the school year. Please log in to the MiDataHub Cockpit and verify user access by reviewing who has access, and what each individual's authorization (Permission) is configured for. Authorizations are segmented into the 6 different types below. If you are a Technical Contact and need to modify any of the authorization's users have in your Data Hub Cockpit, please select the edit button next to the user and deselect/select additional authorizations as appropriate. If you need to remove an individual's access to the MiDataHub Cockpit, please select the ‘Delete’ option and remove them. The only exception to those capabilities is the District Superintendent. Only members of the MiDataHub support team can add or remove a District Superintendent user, due to their permission to electronically sign agreements. If you need assistance with Superintendent updates, please submit a request to miServiceDesk

  • District Superintendent - Sign/Revoke Agreements (If any updates need to be made to this permission, please contact the support team by submitting a request to miServiceDesk
  • District Superintendent Proxy - Sign/Revoke agreements on behalf of superintendent
  • Technical Contact - Full access to Data Hub cockpit functionality including Add/Delete/Edit user accounts and permissions (exception is Superintendents), and full access to all reports, manage custom exports (data exports), all integration types, and additional functionality like the MICIP Dashboards, audit checks, alert notifications, and much more.
  • Data Steward - Full access to reports but limited ability to edit integrations.
  • MICIP Data Liaison - Identified individual that will be a point of contact for the MICIP team with questions on data related obstacles. (Can only be assigned by Data Hub Staff.)
  • Local MiMTSS Data System Contact - Identified individuals that the MiMTSS team will work with in a local district. (Can only be assigned by Data Hub Staff.)
  • Data Hub Support Specialist - Identifies a contact as a Data Hub Support Specialist. Has no functionality in the MiDataHub System as it only identifies a contact as a Data Hub Support Specialist.
