RED DOT and SPECTRUM ART FAIRS
Dec 1 to Dec 5: These much-anticipated fairs of Miami Art Week return to take over Wynwood with two fairs under one roof. Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami form the acclaimed contemporary and fine art experience that collectively presents some of today’s most coveted national and international galleries and artists. Red Dot celebrates the world’s most progressive portfolios by today’s elite artists, galleries, and emerging talents. Spectrum is a curated art fair presenting 200+ independent career artists, studios, and galleries that are pushing the boundaries in surprising and significant ways.

Nov 30 to Dec 5: Recognized as one of the preeminent international modern and contemporary art fairs globally, Art Miami will showcase an array of iconic and signature investment quality art works, dynamic projects and special installations across more than 140 international galleries from 17 countries representing 60 cities.The fair will be held alongside at the prestigious waterfront location on Biscayne Bay, nestled between the Venetian and MacArthur Causeways in the heart of Downtown Miami.

Dec 3 to 5: The Umbrellas of Little Havana Art Festival is a gathering of local artists in the heart of the arts and entertainment district on Calle Ocho. Fridge Art Fair
Nov 29 to Dec 4: See an eclectic array of art in all media and styles at the innovative Fridge Art Fair, known for its non-intimidating vibe and out-of-the-box approach. In its 8th and latest edition, Fridge takes over eclectic art space Esquina de Abuela in the urban cultural district of Allapattah. Offerings at the show to be announced but one thing’s for certain, there will be dogs!

Interactive Light Art Exhibit
Nov 30 to Dec 31: A free outdoor art exhibit, featuring 5 interactive artworks, filled with light and awe. Lightweave is an interactive artwork that weaves together structure, color, light and sound. Balance is an art sculpture that demonstrates how humans have the ability to impact nature. Participants spontaneously interact with the piece as it simulates an immersive micro-environment.

Five Echoes by Es Devlin
Nov 30 to Dec 12: “Five Echoes,” which opens during Miami Art Week, will transform the Miami Design District Jungle Plaza into a multisensory labyrinth, surrounded by a lush forest of more than 1,000 plants. The center of the circular sculpture will be illuminated by light and a soundscape developed in collaboration with Chanel’s in-house perfumer Olivier Polge.

Dec 4: Composed in 1874 and orchestrated by Maurice Ravel in 1922, Pictures at an Exhibition was inspired by a posthumous show of more than 400 paintings and drawings by Modest Mussorgsky’s close friend, architect and artist Viktor Hartmann, who died in 1873.In this presentation, each of the work’s 10 movements and “promenades” will be paired with more than 50 projected images created by leading contemporary artists as well as original works from the Lowe Art Museum’s permanent collection.
