Our new Miami Beach Gov app is out now!
The mobile app brings the resources of city government directly to residents and businesses.
You can use it to report concerns, check current beach conditions, track the free citywide trolley, pay fees, stream MBTV live, stay current on city news and view a comprehensive calendar of meetings and events.
The new app replaces the Miami Beach eGov app that was released in 2014. Current eGov users will automatically receive the Miami Beach Gov app via a software upgrade without the need to create a new account.
For new users, the Miami Beach Gov app is available via a free download in both the Apple and Google app stores. Check out the video below to see the app in action.

Austen Prescott Memorial Soccer Game
On Friday, December 22, the #MBParks Miami Beach Football Club Travel Soccer program will host a memorial soccer game at the Flamingo Park Football Stadium at 7 p.m. in honor of Austen Prescott, long-time Miami Beach travel soccer player.
In the Fall of 2022, just after starting his senior year of high school, Austen was diagnosed with DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), a rare pediatric brain cancer located in the center of the brainstem, for which there is currently no cure. Austen passed away on August 3, 2023.
This season, Austen's former teammates honor his memory by proudly displaying his initials and corresponding cancer awareness ribbon on each game jersey.
We hope you can join us to cheer on the team and honor Austen.
Additionally, a fund has been created in his memory at UM Sylvester and named "Team 620". The brain cancer that took Austen is rare, aggressive, inoperable, and still incurable. Team 620 provides funding for an adult and pediatric glioma research lab at UM Sylvester, where brilliant minds are working with Austen's cells to find an effective treatment and cure. At this time, the survival rate for a child diagnosed with DIPG is 0%.

Recycling is Everybody's Job
Each plastic bottle, metal can and piece of paper that is placed in a recycling bin contributes to a more sustainable future for Miami Beach.
But not everyone knows what can — and can’t — be recycled. As a result, some residents choose not to recycle and others place items in their bins that shouldn’t be there.
In Miami Beach, all properties, both residential and commercial, are required to participate in a single-stream recycling program. Multi-family residences of nine or more units and commercial establishments found to be non-compliant can be fined under sections 90-340 and 90-341 of the City of Miami Beach Code. Single-family residences are required to separate recyclable materials from the solid waste stream under section 15-2.6 of the Miami-Dade County Code. Learn more in the Fall 2023 issue of MB magazine.
