Mayor’s Message for
Mental Health Awareness Month
Our Miami-Dade County family made great personal sacrifices to keep this community moving forward through the worst of this pandemic. With the light at the end of the tunnel finally growing brighter, it's more important than ever that we address the long-term impacts of this crisis on our collective wellness – particularly mental health. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a critical moment for a community-wide conversation about mental healthcare and resources. If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety, depression, or any other mental health issue that you have been hesitant to address, please know that you are not alone and help is here. You can call the 211 line for guidance on mental health resources, or head to the National Alliance on Mental Illness Miami Chapter.
