A Letter from the Administrator

Looking forward to 2023

2022 was a year of renewal in Miami Township and a time to plan for future opportunities that benefit township residents and the business community. We continue to enhance the services we offer, such as adding back dog license renewals and upgrading equipment to better serve our residents.

As we look forward to the new year, there is so much to be thankful for and so much to accomplish. We will miss community leaders and residents who passed away, but we will continue to build from their work and dedication to their community.

Road crews ready for winter

Our Public Works Department is already hard at work keeping township roadways passable during inclement weather. You might see those familiar white lines painting the roadways, indicating that a beet juice mixture was put down to battle slippery conditions.

Road crews can work as many as 10 to 12 hours per snow event just to clear away snow. That is on top of treating the roads in advance. Trucks are loaded with 10 tons of salt at a time that usually covers one neighborhood. CLICK to learn more.

Sports equipment in the roadway is hazardous

Please remember that sports equipment placed in the roadway is township resolution violation. As you can see, it is a hazard for our snowplows. Please, if you have a basketball hoop or any other equipment in the road, please move it or you risk a township violation notice or possibly a fine. CLICK for more information.

The Montgomery County Solid Waste facility will accept trees that will be turned into mulch. CLICK for more information.

Five Rivers Metro Parks has a holiday light recycling program. Seven park locations, including Cox Arboretum, have dropoff sites. CLICK for a complete list.
