Let's stand against injustice and empower those on the ground!

Beloved,

Many have inquired what can we do in response to recent events in Ferguson, Missouri.  Here are two ways to get involved

1.  Join me today at 1:00 PM at Amistad Chapel (located at 700 Prospect Ave. - National office of the United Church of Christ) for a brief prayer vigil.  The vigil will last approximately 15 minutes. We will be asking everyone to raise their hands with the words "Don't Shoot" written on their palms.  It will be a silent vigil, which will conclude with prayer and a litany to go forth.

2.  If you would like to assist peaceful protestors in Ferguson with important items they stand in need of you may visit this Amazon Wish List.  It was created by a friend of mine who is coordinating efforts with other Emory University students at Candler School of Theology and those on the ground in Ferguson.  These items go directly to those in need.  The list was revised this weekend, and launched at 9:00 AM, with updated items.  Items range from $4.50 and up.  Please help us get items to those in need.   You can order the items you choose and the shipping information is already set up.  Visit: Mike Brown Ground Support Wish List   (or http://www.amazon.com/registry/giftlist/T5SQYC5B5IJZ)

Let's make a difference together.
