The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. Welcomes
On November 9, 2021, Michael R. Beschloss, award-winning author and presidential historian for NBC News, will interview David M. Rubenstein on his third book, THE AMERICAN EXPERIMENT: Dialogues on a Dream. Mr. Rubenstein is Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of The Carlyle Group, and is the current Chairman of the Economic Club.

The conversation will focus on The American Experiment, exploring the diverse make-up of our country’s DNA through interviews Mr. Rubenstein conducted with Pulitzer Prize-winning historians, diplomats, music legends and sports giants. The book brings the American spirit to life, revealing the setbacks, suffering, resilience, ingenuity, and social movements that continue to shape our vision of what America is and what it can be. It is a powerful and inspirational reminder of this country’s promise.
