Is Your Current Year in MiDataHub Cockpit Set to 2025-2026?

Most districts have already updated their MiDataHub Cockpit for the 2025-2026 school year - thank you! If your district is among them, no further action is needed.

For those who haven’t yet made the update, now is the perfect time to do so. Updating your Cockpit ensures:

  • Accurate data sharing with downstream vendors and connected systems
  • Smooth Benchmark Assessment integrations for the upcoming deadlines
  • Current-year reporting and monitoring across MiDataHub and related tools

After updating, confirm that your data is populating in MiDataHub.

If your Cockpit still appears empty, your SIS may not yet be configured to send Ed-Fi data for 2025-2026. Be sure your SIS is set to publish data for the current school year.

  • Open a Help Desk  ticket, and we’ll be glad to help you get everything connected and running smoothly.

Trouble Accessing MiLaunchPad? Check Your SSO Certificate!

If your district is unable to access MiLaunchPad, the most common reason is an expired SSO certificate. SSO certificates are required for authentication, and once they expire, access to MiLaunchPad will stop working. If you’re unsure whether your district’s certificate has expired, we can help! Visit www.miservicedesk.com to submit a ticket, and our support team will verify your certificate status.

💡 Coming Soon:

The MiDataHub team is currently working on an upgrade that will allow you to view your certificate expiration date directly in the Cockpit. Stay tuned for more details when this feature becomes available!

Did You Know?

Did you know that in the MiDataHub Cockpit, you can get a quick snapshot of your district’s data quality by going to Features → MiDataHub Data Quality?

This feature gives you an at-a-glance view of potential issues in the data flowing from your SIS into MiDataHub — helping you catch problems early and keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll see key metrics such as:

  • 🚫 No Attendance for School Day
  • ⚠️ Enrolled Student has no Education Organization Association (this one is crucial for data to flow into other applications)
  • 📧 Enrolled Students with no Email Address
  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Enrolled Student has no Parents (studentParentAssociation)
  • 🏫 Enrolled Students with no Classes (studentSectionAssociation)
  • 🔁 Duplicate/Potential Duplicate Students
  • 🆔 Duplicate/Potential Duplicate Students by ID Code
  • 👩‍🏫 Section has Students but no Teacher Assigned
  • 🔢 Students with State Identification Code not in 10-digit format

You’ll also find helpful breakdowns of student counts by grade level and other useful data summaries.

It’s a fantastic first step in verifying your data quality — and when you’re ready for a deeper dive, you can follow it up with the At-A-Glance Report to get more detailed, student-specific information.
