Congrats to our Community Micro Grant recipients!

Newton Community Pride  is pleased to announce our 2022 Spring NCP Community Micro Grant recipients. These grant recipients will be bringing quality arts & culture programming and public art consistent with NCP’s mission to Newton over the next two months. We proudly support their programming and public art mural with additional financial support and urge the community to attend and enjoy their free quality community events.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Spring has arrived! Beautiful and fragrant flowers have started blooming in the Newton Centre and Newton Highlands gardens.  Thank you to Leo Levi and his vision for the Garden City and the NCP Beautification Committee for all of their hard work tending to our award-winning gardens.

Spring Forward - With Hope

Newton Mayor's Community Breakfast

Newton Community Pride is proud to support the Harmony Foundation's 48th Annual Theodore D. Mann Newton Mayor's Community Breakfast: "Spring Forward – With Hope" to be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 7:30 a.m. at the University of Massachusetts Amherst's Mount Ida Campus, outdoors under a tent on the Shaw Hall Courtyard.

Program highlights will include remarks from Mayor Ruthanne Fuller and a keynote speaker, who will be announced soon, reflections by members of the Newton Interfaith Clergy Association, and artistic performances by the All City Troubadours, Singer Olga Lisovskaya, and Vinny "Tata'niki" Iraheta Taino Iukaieke Guainia.

Event tickets are $35 per person and will support the Harmony Foundation. We are proud to be among the following hosts of this community event:  The Foundation for Racial, Ethnic and Religious Harmony (The Harmony Foundation), The Mayor's Office, The Newton Interfaith Clergy Association, The Rotary Club of Newton, and The Newton Public Schools. Lead Sponsor is The Village Bank.
