Awardees of Microbiome Research Program

We are thrilled to announce that we awarded 13 trainees/staff and 4 faculty pilot awards to conduct studies that advance our understanding of microbiome research.

Trainee/Staff Pilots received $10K for a one year project, and Faculty Pilots received $150K for a two year project. Projects are supported by the BCMM's technology hubs.

Microbial culturing facility launches microbiome strain repository

The BCMM is building a repository of human-associated microbial isolates for use by BCMM members. The repository already contains bacterial and fungal strains from over 100 genera and is quickly expanding.

We welcome investigator contributions to the repository. Depositing strains into the repository fuels the growth of this resource and provides an opportunity to store critical microbial isolates outside your lab.

Ignite talks to reconvene in-person

After almost two years, we are excited to start safely gathering in-person at Parnassus for the monthly Ignite talks. We will continue to offer a zoom option to enable all members of our community to attend.
