The Baltimore Local's LMA Annual Recap was featured in an article, " General Counsels' View of Legal Marketing," by Glenda LeGendre in  The Daily Record on May 16, 2018. The article highlights several takeaways from the conference, such as an emphasis on "snackable" content, alternative fee arrangements, LinkedIn and data privacy/security, while raising the visibility of LMA and the Baltimore Local. Jenna Schiappacasse, LMA Mid-Atlantic President-Elect, will lead a session, "What Would You Say... You Do Here? Defining Your Value and Thinking Like a Boss," hosted by United Way of Central Maryland (UWCM) on June 19, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza Baltimore. The session will teach attendees how to tell their story in a way that provides value and aligns with company goals. Registration is open to all 40 and under young professionals across industries. The LMA Mid-Atlantic Region is now seeking experienced and dynamic presenters for the inaugural 2018 LMA Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference, which will take place in Washington, D.C., on November 1, 2018.

We are looking for program ideas that are relevant to marketing and business development professionals with different levels of experience, including those at small, medium and large law firms. Submissions should highlight trending topics in legal marketing, business development, marketing technology and provide useful and practical takeaways for LMA members.

Are you interested in volunteering for LMA? The LMA Mid-Atlantic Region has several opportunities for you to serve. There are many reasons to get involved - from giving back to the organization, to expanding your leadership skills, gaining industry knowledge and creating an international professional network and lifelong friends.

Be on the lookout in the beginning of July for announcements for the Call for Leaders to the LMA Mid-Atlantic Region Board of Directors. Nominations will be accepted during the month of July and will close on August 1st.

If Regional Board service is not in the cards for you now, there will be opportunities to serve on the Local Steering Committees (LSC) in Baltimore, Capital and The Virginias; information about these leadership opportunities will be distributed later this summer.
