School Leaver Success
A number of Mid Coast connect's programs have ensured Jesse is supported in commencing an exciting career at Designer Living Kitchens.
Jesse gained his year 10 RoSA and moved temporarily to Melbourne where he was employed as a roof plumber. When Jesse returned to Port Macquarie, he attended a My Future Pathway Program hosted by Mid Coast Connect in partnership with the Community College as part of our School Leaver Support Program. Jesse went on to complete a Certificate II in Maintenance and Construction. He wanted to build on his skills and qualifications. Jesse treated the course like it was his job which gave him a positive attitude towards work.
Jesse was always consistent in approach to learning, respectful to himself and others and understood the need for a good reputation. Jesse worked hard and with Mid Coast Connect's Apprenticeship and Traineeship Services assistance has started an apprenticeship with Designer Living Kitchens and is excelling at his place of employment.
Embracing the concept that it takes a village to raise a child, local services worked with Mid Coast Connect to support Jesse with his options and training and as a result, he is now happily employed.
