News From Mid Columbia Fisheries

Join us starting next week as we kick off our 2023 Winter Speakers Series.

On Wednesday, January 18, Arden Thomas, Kittitas County Water Resources Manager and Joel Freudenthal, Yakima County Water Resources Strategic Manager will discuss work to enhance floodplain function, reduce flood risk, remove fish passage barriers, restore riparian habitat and improve water security in their respective counties connected by the Yakima River.  All of this work benefits water quality, improves sustainability and resiliency of the river’s floodplain/channel complex, and provides needed habitat for fish and wildlife.

Register here. All the talks are free. Donations to support our work are encouraged.

We are hiring for a new position: Operations & Grants Coordinator and we are hiring seasonal Restoration Technicians! Details here.
