December at Frost Science Museum
December 15: Winter Wonderland Explore how colder temperatures impact states of matter in our Let It Snow live show, when we use liquid nitrogen, at a frosty -321F°, to freeze everyday objects and explore what happens to them. Then explore snowflakes under a microscope as you discover the role math plays in nature before visiting our A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature exhibition.

On December 21st , we’ll be rocking out with a retro throwback to the classic laser light spectacles you know and love. From Pink Floyd to Daft Punk, we’re fusing music from some of the greatest artists of our time with old-school laser light visuals—all under the Planetarium’s 67-foot dome.

From December 27th - January 3rd : Calling all creators, explorers, artists and inventors! Spend winter break becoming the next maker by tinkering with gadgets and inventions of your own creation, including sewing circuits, paper bots and more.
NYE with Thriller
Join Thriller Miami Speedboats to toast the New Year-2020 beneath a spectacular fireworks celebration!

Receive an unobstructed view of the spectacular fireworks show from the best viewing spot aboard one of 
Thriller Miami Speedboats or Thriller Miami Hurricane.

This Winter, Fairchild transforms into The NightGarden: an enchanted, illuminated experience full of fantasy and wonderment where things like the Wise Talking Tree and Flying Fairies come to life. Holiday Concert at the New World Symphony

Bayfront Holiday Village

Bayfront Holiday Village will transform Bayfront Park into a shopping and entertainment destination for locals and tourists alike. All accomplished while keeping high family values and a welcoming atmosphere. The Village will become one of Miami’s most iconic offerings during the holiday season. People will come for the weather, they’ll stay for great shopping and entertainment. The Village will host several unique elements such as “The Shops,” a collection of artisans in a retail setting; Bayskate, Miami’s answer to cold-weather ice skating; and “Bayfront Bites,” a food, beverage, and entertainment area to sit back, relax and enjoy the park and waterfront.

The team behind one of Miami’s most popular restaurants, Mandolin Aegean Bistro, has expanded their Miami restaurant footprint with Gregory’s, an all day diner inspired by their grandparents. Top Chef Masters alum Lorena Garcia has returned to Miami to debut her restaurant Chica’s second location. The extensive menu is focused around cuisines from Latin and South America, and boasts everything from ceviche to tacos to arepas and even a Argentine-style “parrillada” showcasing a variety of meats that can easily feed at least three people.

Named after Miami’s “unofficial” langue of Spanglish, a hybrid of English and Spanish often heard in the Magic City, the chic bar and lounger boasts Instagram-worthy drinks like the Spanglish and Chill, a tequila-based cocktail with strawberry infused sweet vermouth, tangerine, lemon, and pink peppercorn, served in a “popcorn bag” topped with caramel popcorn and chicharrón dust; alongside creative bites by Giorgio Rapicavoli like croqueta ‘buns’ and churrasco tiradito.
