For those of you who will be arriving in Scottsdale on Friday, Kate Adelman has issued the following invitation:

We are hoping you will join us on Friday evening, 2/21, from 4-7 pm to share memories, celebrate our friendship with Lorraine, and share an adult beverage. A stop at Costco will determine the menu and wine will be provided. If you would prefer another beverage, bring it…or let me know what you like.

Our gathering will be at 27231 N 47th St., Cave Creek, AZ 85331. This is a 4 bed/2 bath house with full kitchen and outdoor entertaining. (Approximately 8 minutes from the church.) Terri Bowers, Parker and I are staying there. There are a couple of other beds if that would be helpful to you. First come, first served. 😉

Looking forward to seeing you soon. Blessings, Kate

RSVP: K.adelman@cox.net or 480-694-5197

Please continue to keep in your prayers Lorraine’s husband Gary, his son Josh and his family, and all those friends and family who mourn Loraine's death.

May she rest in peace and rise in glory!

Composers Symposium

Last Chance to Register

The Composers Symposium is fast approaching and these are the final days to register for this event. If you plan to attend, completing this survey will assist in planning. View the complete schedule for this exciting gathering.

If you intend to arrive early enough to attend the VOCES8 concert on Wednesday evening, February 26th, you will need to purchase your tickets in advance through Trinity English Lutheran's website.

Should you desire to park in Trinity's auxiliary parking lot overnight to save money, please provide your information in the survey. (Note: Trinity English is not responsible for damage or theft.)

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop with music software on it to get the most out of notation software tutorials.

During the Symposium, participants will break into smaller groups for an informal time of sharing. Composers will be invited to read through each other's pieces for affirmation, observations, feedback. If you would like to share a piece with the group for feedback, please plan to bring 15 copies along with you. (Note: if you do not plan to share a piece, you are still welcome to participate and observe the work of others.)

Professional instrumentalists will be available for a "round-robin" session where small groups will progress from station to station, offering opportunities to ask musical and notational questions to assist in writing more idiomatically for that instrument/family of instruments. During the "round robin," your small group will chat with a representative of: winds, brass, strings, percussion, and even a harpist! Using this survey, please take a moment and think of questions you might like to ask them so they may be able to prepare.

A box lunch will be provided Thursday and Friday as part of your registration.

Dress is casual.
