2 Blocks of Art a Success as it Celebrated 12th Year

This year's 2 Blocks of Art featured an exceptional lineup of artists, musicians, illustrators, artisan vendors, and tours.

Neighbors, art lovers and tourists of all ages commingled with prospective tenants; and landlords welcomed the opportunity to show their spaces in hopes of finding strong retail tenants that will enhance Market Street's retail mix.

This year we asked attendees to share what they'd like to see open on Market Street by placing a note on the Market Street model at Timbri Hotel, some answers included: pet supplies, salons, hardware, grocery, dental, and an indoor roller rink.

Thanks again to the businesses, property owners, exhibitors, attendees and sponsors: Blick Art Materials, CAST, CounterPulse, CREW SF, Goldenvoice, Group i, Hudson Pacific Properties, IAMA, IKEA, Ingka Centres, JCDecaux, Olympic Residential Group, Page & Turnbull, Prism, Root Division, Saluhall, San Francisco Arts Commission, Serif, SOMBA, Stage 1075, Streetplus, The Timbri Hotel, The Proper Hotel, The Warfield, The Wilson and Yotel.

Also thank you to Legion Security, SFPD, Urban Alchemy, Public Works, BART, our CBD team, volunteers, and of course our host committee: Rachelle Axel, Lisa Burger, Renaikha Cruz Fermin, Desi Danganan, Victoria Heilweil, KC Hsieh, Ken Ikeda, KALW, Lada Kocherovsky, Bob Kozma, Pamela Mattera, Ted Russell, Phil Spitler, Lane Sugata, Sharon Tanenbaum, Debra Walker and Jezrel White.
