At its annual
CityBeat Breakfast in February, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce noted street conditions are at the forefront of issues plaguing the City and called for various elements of homelessness to be addressed, according to the SF Business Times. A poll of Chamber members, indicated members want: "expanded conservatorship to provide court-ordered treatment for those who are unable to care for themselves due to severe mental illness; enforcement of existing laws against open-air drug dealing; merchant corridors and neighborhood streets to be better cleaned; and an audit of San Francisco's homeless services and spending."
