Do you often find it challenging to stretch your paycheck to cover all your monthly expenses? You're definitely not alone. Many Americans are in the same boat, trying to make ends meet from one payday to the next.
A recent Forbes report revealed that over a quarter of Americans have savings of less than $1,000. Other studies indicate that about half of U.S. households have saved up enough to cover three months' worth of expenses, with less than 40 percent having enough for six months.
While it might seem challenging to save when there's not much flexibility in your budget, there are practical ways to make it happen.

You might be ready to hit the open road for new adventures, but is your debit or credit card?
Setting your travel notifications just got easier in Digital Banking!
If you're traveling to an area not far from home, it's unlikely that any charges will be flagged by our fraud detection systems. However, traveling out of state or internationally increases the chance of charges being declined due to increased risks of fraud.
Setting up a travel notification also helps strengthen the security of your accounts. Traveling can be stressful, don’t let card issues ruin your good time.

bot fraud /bät//frôd/
noun
- fraudulent activities carried out or assisted by malicious bots.
|
Bot fraud refers to fraudulent activities carried out or assisted by malicious bots. These bots are designed to imitate human behavior and perform automated tasks quickly and can lead to serious consequences, such as financial loss and identity theft.
One common type of bot fraud is attacks on user accounts, especially those linked to financial institutions. Malicious bots use techniques like credential stuffing and brute force attacks to gain unauthorized access to these accounts.
Taking proactive measures on your financial accounts, such as creating complex passwords and unique usernames that are not used elsewhere, can significantly reduce the risk of falling victim to these attacks.

Mid Oregon Credit Union was named the number one Credit Union in Oregon for the second consecutive year by Forbes and research firm Statista.
“This honor is special because it is driven 100 percent by our market presence and how people rate our service quality,” said Kevin Cole, President and CEO of Mid Oregon. “It validates the exceptional work that Mid Oregon employees do every day to help our members and the communities we serve. I am so proud of the Mid Oregon team members for their commitment to professionalism, service, and community responsibility.”
Surveys of approximately 26,000 United States residents assessed metrics such as customer service, fees, digital offerings, financial advice given by representatives, and the trust that organizations inspired. Final rankings are based 80 percent on surveys and 20 percent on online reviews. Large nationwide credit unions with branches in more than 15 U.S. states were excluded.

Supporting wildfire relief efforts in La Pine |
Our Central Oregon communities understand the devastating impact of wildfires, and we've heard from our members who would like to help those affected by the Darlene 3 wildfire in La Pine.
Mid Oregon is supporting the American Red Cross's efforts to provide aid to La Pine residents as quickly as possible, in order to help them recover from the recent disaster.
Additionally, our La Pine branch has offered its back lot to be used as a base for firefighters to park and camp.
If you'd like to make a financial donation, you can do so at any Mid Oregon Branch or online at the Red Cross website.
Every little bit helps and your support will make a meaningful impact on those affected by the wildfire.
