KINGDOM OF GOD; RIGHTEOUSNESS
For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Romans 14:17
There is a flow God has authored the believer to live in while we’re here on this earth. We don’t have to wait to get to heaven to enjoy this flow, because Jesus said in Luke 17:21, “…the kingdom of God is WITHIN you.”
The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy and these blessings are in you; they are at your disposal whenever you need to draw on them.
The kingdom of God is how God moves and manifests. If this is how God is flowing, we need to stay in this flow!
When I read Romans 14:17 I see a divine order: First, righteousness, second, peace and third, joy.
Righteousness is having a right standing with God. When you become born-again, you ARE righteous! (1 Cor. 1:30). You’re not righteous because you have done everything right, but because Jesus did everything right!
That precious, powerful blood of Jesus made you clean! You no longer have to live under the heavy weight of sin, guilt and shame. When God forgives, He forgets! So you can forget also! If you don’t, you won’t live and walk as one who is righteous.
If you miss God and sin, after you’ve become born-again, do what 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” It’s that simple; repent!
One of the greatest acts of faith you can make is to stand back up in your righteousness! That’s how you close the door to condemnation and shame. Guilt and shame cause you to draw back from living as one who has been made righteous. Then you won’t exercise your authority over the enemy and he will take advantage of you.
When you live in your righteousness, you will walk with authority, knowing who you are in Christ! And you won’t allow the things of the past to hold you back and then you will walk in peace and joy; the flow of the Kingdom of God!
Declaration to Faith: I agree with God. He has made me righteous! I chose to live that way! I walk in my authority over the enemy, the world and my flesh. I am a new creature in Christ and that sin nature no longer has a hold on me! I walk in victory!
