YOU ARE COMPLETE
And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:10
Think about you… who are you? When you think about yourself do your imperfections and flaws immediately come to mind?
I was totally convicted this week! I kept making a statement about me, not being able to focus and not being ready or able to do certain things I felt called to do. A few minutes after I made that statement I went to spend some time with the Lord and would you believe the very scripture I turned to was Col. 2:10! Wow, did I have to ask for forgiveness and eat those words!
The Word says that we are complete! Now, we may not see ourselves as that way but we need to start, because God does not see us the way we or even others do!
We see ourselves as lacking. We see the things wrong with us, our weaknesses and flaws. God sees us as new creations, the old man is gone! We have His divine nature and He wants us to see ourselves as complete, the way He sees’s us!
Think about it this way, when a mother looks at her newborn baby they think their child is the most beautiful baby on the earth. Now, typically newborns are not the prettiest thing to look at. They are shriveled, wrinkly, and red, some are even bald. But, that parent sees them as perfect in every way! That is how our Father God sees us!
I don’t need to ask God to make me wise, Jesus is my wisdom. I don’t have to ask for peace, Jesus is my peace! I don’t have to ask for righteousness, Jesus is my righteousness and he is also my favor, protection, courage, patience, joy and my healer!
Whatever I think I am lacking in, I have everything right now, because I am complete in Christ! All I need to do is daily walk in that completeness by believing it is true and confessing that whatever I need, Jesus already is to me!
Stop focusing on the lack in your life and start focusing on the fact that right this very moment, you are complete in Christ!
Declaration to Life: I will not focus on my lack. I will focus on Jesus and how right this very moment I am complete in Him! Instead of seeing my weakness and flaws, I choose to see His strength and completion in me!
