SAY SO
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Psalm 1071-:2
I was raised singing a song with the lyrics taken from Psalm 107:2; “Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so!” What are we supposed to be saying?
One translation of this verse reads, “Let the redeemed tell their story!” Christians are to celebrate their redemption by speaking out in a testimony of thankfulness to the Lord and to others!
If you are a believer in Christ, this is your story - you are redeemed:
1. From the curse of the law – Galatians 3:13 tells us, “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”)
2. To the blessing… Galatians 3:14 says, “that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus,
3. That we might receive the promise of the Spirit…Galatians 3:14 say, “ that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
We are to be thanking God and telling others how good God is and what He has redeemed us from!
We are no longer under the curse of the law! If the enemy tries to put some of the curse upon you, you can speak out saying, “The blood of Jesus testifies that Christ set me free from the entire curse when He was made a curse for me!”
There is power in our words! Take a few minutes every day to thank God for your redemption, for the blood of Jesus that gives you victory, for the stripes He took on His back for your healing, for His blessing and provision in your life and for the promise of the Holy Spirit who lives on the inside of you!
We also use our words; our story to give testimony to others of the goodness of the Lord and His redemptive power in our lives!
Declaration to Life: I am redeemed and I will use my mouth to speak out and say so!
