Hello all,

I have several exciting things to share with you around some online events and resources that I think will add tremendous value at this time:

1) A Tele-Town Hall with the Minister of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries hosted by the Ministry to discuss the government's response to COVID-19. 10:30 AM Thursday March 26, 2020.

2) A Virtual Town Hall Event with M.P. Jamie Schmale hosted by the Chamber to discuss the government's response to COVID-19. Note: Please email me your questions in advance.

Each are listed and linked below this message, along with member offers from K. Brewer Financial Services Ltd ( The Chamber Plan ) and the Highlander .

Secondly, I wanted to provide some resources for remote working.

Here is a note from our member Solid State Computer Solutions:

"As a part of our response to the ongoing crisis that is hitting our local business community we are offering our remote office platform to anyone who needs to enable working remotely securely, for free. We will help you get setup and can then also offer IT support to you and your employees. This is a free offer but once you are setup as a client we can continue to help you going forward. Check out our open letter at  mysolidstate.ca  and fill in the form to get started."

Our other members in the IT and Tech space are listed here .

Here are some other remote working options that have been shared with me via my network of Chamber colleagues:

Remote Desktop for Google Chrome - Download the Google Chrome browser, visit this webpage using the computer you need access to, click turn on remote access and follow the steps. Here is a guide from Google , google Hangouts can be utilized for team meetings as well.

Zoom - audio and video meetings, webinars, conference rooms, etc. u need to purchase the upgrade to allow for a Canadian call-in number ($20 CAD per month).

As I have mentioned, feel free to send me an email that describes how this has impacted your business.

If you missed yesterday's communication, it contained many government updates, resources, emergency financing options, and clarifications from our partners at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. You can see it here .

I will close by wishing you and your loved ones all the best, I hope to talk with you soon.
