Updates & Announcements from Methodist Temple

Pentecost Sunday

Just a reminder that this coming Sunday is Pentecost. Join us to celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and wear red as a symbol of this special day.

Father's Day Donation

For everyone in attendance on Sunday, June 15th, we will make a donation of $10 to Aurora to purchase kitchen tables. If you worship online, be sure to check in so you can be included in the attendance.

Invitations for our 75th anniversary have been mailed. If you haven't received yours, call the church office at 812-476-1306.

Studies in Kings

From July 9th through August 6th, the Rev. Shane O'Neill will lead a five-session Bible study from 9:30-10:30 in room 207. The study will focus on I and II Kings and the rise and fall of Israel. To register, talk with Shane or call the church office at 812-476-1306.

Reading for the first session includes: I Kings 3:1-28, 10:1-29, 11:1-43

The Chosen Bible study will take a hiatus starting June 11th and return to meet again on July 16th.

Cheer/Dance Clinic

A few of our own Methodist Temple Youth are putting on a Cheer/Dance Clinic. All 2nd-6th graders are invited to spend a day learning a routine and basic cheer and dance steps. The clinic will be held on Tuesday, June 17th here at Methodist Temple from 3-6pm.

Each kid will be a t-shirt, bow, and poms. Parents are welcome to see the routine at pickup. Follow the link below to register.

Holiday World Trip

Children who just finished 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades are invited to take a trip to Holiday World on Sunday, July 27th. The group will depart from Methodist Temple following the second service and return that evening.

Youth Spotlight

This Sunday, our youth will meet for Game-Changers from 4:30-6:00pm.

We’re diving into a UMC Young People’s series called Believing into Christ!

SAMs Luncheon Canceled

Our Senior Adult Ministries will NOT have a luncheon in the month of June. The next luncheon will be Thursday, July 17th at 11:30am. Reserve your spot at Connection Central Too.

Gospel of Luke

Zoom Bible Study

Is it difficult for you to make it to an in-person Bible Study? Are you interested in reading through the Gospel of Luke? You should join Pastor Randy's Zoom Bible Study! This group meets virtually on Wednesday mornings at 8:00am on zoom. Starting March 5th they will begin the journey through the Gospel of Luke.

Our SAM's Ministry offers exercise classes every Tuesday and Thursday mornings beginning at 9am in the Celebration Center. No registration is needed.

The June SAMs Luncheon has been CANCELLED. The next luncheon will be July 17th. Reserve your spot at Connection Central, Too! The price for this luncheon is $5/person.
