Old Testament Reading - Psalm 66:16-20 NIV

Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue. If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened; but God has surely listened and has heard my prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!

New Testament Reading - Ephesians 1:15-23 NIV

For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith

in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Harvest Jubilee Reflection

This past Saturday, we celebrated the Harvest Jubilee! From Pumpkins and Pancakes to the Movie in Frisch Park, we celebrated the harvest season. It was absolutely beautiful how we worked together as a church family to shine Christ’s light into our community! Thank you, all who helped!

Now, we start planning for next year. We have this survey and would like your input so it will be even better next year!

Please fill out this quick survey (CLICK HERE) to help us improve the festival for next year. There will also be surveys in the Narthex this Sunday if you would prefer to fill one out there and place in the box in the Narthex.

To my dear FUMC Killeen Family,

Thank you for everything.

Thank you for the sweet cards and gifts you shared with me this week. What a blessing you have been to me over these years! As I read each note, I was filled with love and gratitude, and flooded with memories I will cherish for years to come.

Thank you for being a true sanctuary. In my darkest journeys, I had the great fortune of worshiping alongside you. I found comfort within your walls, and solace in your genuine kindness. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and open hearts. Because of each of you, I am forever changed.

Thank you, Choir, for being my home. From my first Wednesday rehearsal in the Gray St choir loft through our final chord together this Sunday morning, know that you have meant the world to me. I pray that you will always be supported in your ministry here at FUMC Killeen. You are the kindest souls and have the most beautiful hearts for worship. I am blessed beyond measure to have shared this journey with you.

My friends, I leave you with this earnest plea: Continue to stand up for your church, and for each other. Each member of this church family - past, present, and yet to come - is worth fighting for. WE are the church, no matter where we reside, or where we worship. As you continue to share your hearts with God and share love with each other, I will proudly stand with you, and love each of you with all I have to give.

Yours in Christ,

Amber Moon
