Best Crawl Ever - Last weekend's 6th Annual Dedham Square Crawl brought huge crowds to the Square to enjoy live music, great food and drink, and good company. Over $4,000 was raised for two local causes - Dedham School of Music and Power of Community. Hats off to Party King Peter Springer and his awesome volunteers for their hard work in planning such a fun night. Can't wait til next year!

Parents Night Out
- The Dedham Community House is hosting its popular Saturday Night Kids Club this Sat. Feb. 8 from 6-10 pm.  Kids grades K-5 have a fun evening with sports & games, arts & crafts, pizza and a movie while you enjoy a night out on the town! $20/kid. DCH is also hosting a special Valentine's Kids Club on Fri. Feb.14. Register early, Kids Clubs sell out!  Click here to register!

Love Stories - The Blue Bunny is hosting a special Valentine's story time hosted by Catching Joy on Mon. Feb. 10 at 10:30 am. Enjoy stories and decorate valentines. Bring new or "like new" pajamas and books for their collection for kids in need. All are welcome.


Cure for the Winter Blahs - On Tues. Feb. 11, Blue Ribbon BBQ is hosting an all-you-can eat buffet in celebration of their 25th anniversary. Featuring founding chef and BRB pitmaster Geoff Janowski who will serve up some of the far-out dishes he developed for his restaurant Roadworthy. 2 seatings at 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Tickets $30/person and will go fast!  On Tues. Feb. 25 BRB will host a Crawfish Boil/Mardi Gras event. Check DSC's Facebook page soon for more details!

Dance the Night Away - Fred Astaire Dance Studio is hosting a FREE Valentine's Open House on Fri. Feb. 14 at 7:45 pm.  All are welcome - with a dancing partner or without!

 

Book Launch - Join Peter H. Reynolds for the launch of his newest book Be You and a fun film fest showing three short animated films based on his books at the Dedham Community Theatre. Sat. Feb. 29 from 10 am - noon. For tickets visit www.bluebunnybooks.com.

Justice for All -Again this year, First Church of Dedham is offering their February Justice Matinee Film Series on Sundays this month at 2 pm. A different film and discussion each week. Free and all are welcome.

Games, crafts, sports, science, sledding (if there's snow!), and more! Extended hours available.  Sign-ups also available for April Vacation Week which will run Mon-Fri April 20-24.

Sign of the Times - Have you seen the beautiful new sign installed in front of C2 Body on Washington Street? It's a lovely addition to the Square's aesthetics.C2 Body announced that they are expanding which will include a brand new MindBody Studio offering Pilates/barre and a full yoga program including hot yoga!  The expanded space will also offer Infrared Himalayan salt sauna caves, massage, acupuncture, and more. C2Body is offering a Valentine's Day special. Evening barre classes in Dedham only $10 or $90 for 10 classes.
 
Shutterbug - Dedham photographer Kerry Hawkins is the featured artist of the month at nest for February. Stop by to admire (and purchase) Kerry's work and check out nest's jewelry collection and decorative pieces for your home.

To Sing or Not to Sing? - The Dedham Middle School Parent Group is hosting a karaoke fundraiser at Waterford's on Sat. Feb. 8 at 8 pm. DJ Big Daddy Rob (aka Rob Blaney, Director of the Dedham Youth Commission).  $5 donation.  
 
 
Love NotesDedham Historical Society and Museum's archivist Violet Hurst will be speaking on February 14th at 10:30 a.m., at the Endicott Estate at the pink heart
Retired Men's Club meeting. Her topic will be "Valentine's Day in Dedham: A Historic Perspective". She will present a brief history of the holiday and showcase materials from the museum's archives, including cards, love letters, etc.    
 
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?  Trivia Night to benefit the Dedham Food Pantry on Fri. Feb. 28 at The American Legion.

Winter Escape - The Dedham Community House will host "Throwback to the 70's", their annual winter cocktail party, on Fri. March 6.  Crazy delicious food, hip festive decor, groovy music, cash bar, and a cool silent auction. Bell bottoms and beads encouraged but are optional.

Happy Campers - Head to the Discover Summer! Camps & Activities Fair on Sat. March 7 at the Avery School to learn about fun, educational and challenging summer activities for your kids.
 
Boogie Down! The Dedham School of Music will host a "Groovy Gala" fundraiser on Sat. March 21.    Get your groove on with live music by Groove Alliance, New England's premier party band, hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, silent and live auctions, a wine pull, and photo fun! 
 
Fun Run - The 36th Annual James Joyce Ramble will be held on Sun. April 26.
