Mid-Year Financial Checkup:
5 Questions to Ask Yourself
We're already halfway through 2020! Though summer is a great time to relax and enjoy the warm weather, it's also a good time to take a look at your financial standing. How are you tracking against those goals you set in January?

A mid-year financial checkup is often overlooked, yet, reviewing the past six months' worth of activity can do wonders for managing your financial goals by year-end. It's important not only to review your accounts and strategy, but also to take care of important paperwork that needs to be established or updated, like beneficiaries or power of attorney.

We encourage you to click here for 5 financial questions to ask yourself now to help you stay on track for the remainder of 2020.

Resuming In-Office Meetings
As the Capital Region continues taking steps toward a new normal, we are beginning to resume in-office client meetings on a limited basis for those who feel comfortable. Masks are required to enter our office building and extensive cleaning measures will be taken before and after all meetings.

Please keep in mind that we encourage utilizing phone calls or Zoom video conferences to conduct meetings when possible. We appreciate your continued understanding throughout this challenging time and wish everyone good health and safety.

Planning Tip
Create a Healthcare Contingency Plan

The pandemic is a good reminder of just how important your health is - and making sure you have the right plans in place for yourself and your loved ones.

While no one likes to think about it, at some point in time you might be unable to make your own healthcare decisions. The best time to address this contingency is long before you're actually in that situation.

The typical documents you'll need are a healthcare power of attorney, which allows a certain person to make medical decisions on your behalf, and a living will, which outlines your wishes for care in various medical situations. Be sure to check the laws in your state, since some require a specific language or format for healthcare proxies.
