Rising from the Ashes - Karin's Story

Imagine returning home to find everything you own reduced to ashes. This was the heartbreaking reality for Karin Johnson when she discovered her house had burned down, leaving her with nothing but the clothes on her back. Despite this devastating loss, Karin's resilience and determination helped her begin to rebuild her life and find home once again.

Turning Dreams into Reality

Byron Dickerson had always dreamed of owning his own home, but for him, that dream often felt too far out of reach. This was until he heard about the Rural Development 502 Home Loan Program, a collaborative effort between USDA and Habitat for Humanity Yuba/Sutter that helped him afford a mortgage on his dream home.

As seen with Byron's story, USDA is not only helping us transform lives, but build a more vibrant community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Currently, our partnership with USDA offers essential loan packaging services for the following:

• 504 Program: Owner Occupied Rehab and Disaster Repair Loans and Grants

• 502 Program: Home Loans

Donation Pickups with ReSupply

Our team has partnered with ReSupply to make donating to our ReStore easier than ever! With ReSupply, you can schedule hassle-free donation pickups from the comfort of your home and ReSupply staff will come pickup your donated items for a fee (no cost is associated with dropping off donations yourself).

Through our Cars for Homes Program, you can donate your old car, boat, motorcycle, RV, or other vehicle to help build homes for local families in need. We accept all vehicles whether they are running or not and towing is completely FREE. Just be sure to mention that your donation is intended for our Yuba/Sutter Habitat location, so we can receive the full benefit of your support!
