Hello Claire,
It is with a great deal of sadness I write this letter this week as we at LCTV say goodbye to the most talented and lovely Ms. Claire Sommer. For the past three plus years she has written, in my opinion, and that is shared by many, the most informative and happy news letter each week religiously.
She almost singlehandedly has brought our weekly newsletter to over twelve hundred email addresses each week. I can't even begin to tell you how many countless times people have reached out to me to express their appreciation and complement LCTV on our newsletter. But she has been more that just a writer to us here at LCTV. We have been her "baby," her worrying about everything from ticket sales for our winter concerts to making sure we have all our games scheduled properly, to getting our social media house in order.
Like any great employee, she always went above and beyond anything I asked her to do, and she always did it with a smile! Yet she was more than an employee, she was a true friend to our LCTV family, her "street smarts," and bubbly personality were a great mix for LCTV, and three plus years ago when she started, it was just what the "Doctor Ordered".
I personally will forever grateful for the conversations each mornings we had and her undying devotion to helping make LCTV the best that it can be. The old saying when one door closes another opens, well, I'm a believer in that, but I'm afraid the door might be a bit sticky in this instance! As we say good bye to "our" Ms. Claire, myself and the rest of the LCTV crew wish her luck and all the best. And if you see her around town please thank her for helping LCTV be the best that it can be! Lots of love Ms. Claire.
