Save those box tops and hand them in! it's like money for our school!
  
In 2015-2016 we raised $1,228.80
Last year - 2016-2017 we raised $1,250.50
 
Let's see if we can keep increasing our amount!
(and for those competitive people - some other schools in Newtown have only raised in the $500's and $600's for the last 2 years - we have raised almost twice as much!)

2:30-3:00PM - Costume Parade
3:00-4:30PM - Trunk or Treat!

We need LOTS of cars to fill the parking lot.  If you decorate your trunk for us, you will get free admission!!  Also Mens Club is sponsoring a hay ride for this event! (flyer attached)

- WE NEED CANDY DONATIONS.  The PTA will be supplying some of this candy but we are needing everyone to pitch in to make this event a success. There will be a bin clearly marked in the office for candy donations.

Please join us for a ghoulish good time - a costume parade, prizes for best costume, best decorated car, games and more! Spots are limited.

- Enter a decorated car and get FREE admission!
- Just in it for Trunk or Treat? Wristbands are $5 (Kids 12 and under)

Candy Bag Donations are welcome and appreciated

Save a date for our fall book fair:
Each class will have a turn to shop the fair during school, times are to be announced. 

Families are welcome to come and shop the fair as well.  Volunteers to help set up, check out and take down are always needed.  
VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION - NOV 10Vet
Volunteers Needed for Veteran's Day Celebration image

Mrs. Baron will be hosting our Veterans Day celebration on November 10th. This is a very special day to honor our veterans.

The day includes a breakfast for our honorees, an assembly and a walk through our Hall of Remembrance. Mrs. Baron will be providing juice, bagels and cream cheese and looking for volunteers to provide a few more breakfast items, such as, fruit, muffins/danishes or some kind of egg dish.

She is also looking for help on Nov 1st to help hang the certificates, honoring your special veteran, on our bulletin boards. These certificates will be going home soon.

Do you want to advertise a MG event or program or are you looking for volunteers for a MG event or program? Then send us your information for submission in the Middle Gate Minute. The Middle Gate Minute is a Bi-Weekly publication. Please include a 1-3 sentence description and contact information for all submissions. If you want to attach a flyer or other document, it is best to send as .doc or .pdf

MG Weekly editor reserves the right to edit all submissions. All submissions due the Thursday before the next newsletter publication date.
