HELP!

With this cold and flu season in full swing, our supply of tissue boxes has been severely depleted. If you are able, we would greatly appreciate any donations of tissue boxes to help keep our classrooms stocked and students comfortable. Thank you so much for your support and generosity!

Our inaugural 3-on-3 basketball tournament was an absolute blast! In a double-elimination format, six teams battled it out for bragging rights and the title of top squad. But this wasn’t your typical tournament. Students signed up individually, and teams were formed by a select “secret committee,” creating balanced rosters and ensuring fair, competitive play from start to finish.

The championship round came down to Team #2 — Nehemiah Morris, Levi Hamlett-Johnston, and Ezra Egloff — versus the undefeated Team #5 — Uziah Breed, Ashton Martinez, and Camden Graves.

Team #2 had a mountain to climb. Fighting their way out of the losers bracket, they needed to defeat Team #5 twice to claim the championship.

And they did just that — at least in game one.

Led by Nehemiah Morris, Team #2 came out firing, draining shots at a dizzying pace and handing Team #5 their first loss of the tournament. That victory forced a decisive, winner-take-all final game.

The rematch did not disappoint.

Both teams turned up the defensive intensity immediately. On the very first possession, Nehemiah Morris drove hard to the basket for what looked like a smooth left-handed layup — only to be met at the rim by Uziah Breed, who delivered a monstrous block that set the tone for a gritty battle.

From there, it was a back-and-forth showdown. Spectacular shots were traded throughout the game. Camden Graves caught fire midway through, lacing several shots in a row to keep Team #5 within striking distance.

When regulation ended, the score was tied 20–20 in a first-to-21 game.

Overtime.

Every possession mattered.

In the extra period, Team #5 found an opening under the basket and knocked down a wide-open shot to seal the championship victory.

An incredible finish to a competitive and sportsmanlike tournament. If this was year one, the bar has officially been set high for next season.
