Middle School Field Day 2022

At Great Hearts Northern Oaks, we believe that holistic and humane education is one that seeks to cultivate health and strength not only in the mind and heart but also in the body. Middle School Field Day is scheduled for Friday, October 7.

Please note: October 7 is an early-dismissal Friday. Lunch and student pick-up will not be affected by Field Day activities.

Volunteers for Snack Stand Needed

Field Day is a special day for our students, and we will need parent volunteers to help with distributing snacks to our athletes. We encourage you to sign up to help run the snack stand.

Dress Code

Students are encouraged to wear plain shirts of the grade level color assigned during Spirit Week (8^th Grade = Purple, 7^th Grade= Orange). All shirts must have sleeves.

If your student does not have a plain shirt of class color, students should wear school spirit shirts.

The pop culture policy still applies to field day dress. Visible logos and flashy patterns, colors, and designs are discouraged. Leggings are permitted if shorts are worn over them.

Pants/shorts should be modest, and in good repair (no holes, torn sleeves, etc.). Shorts worn in PE, Cross country practice, etc. are acceptable. Leggings or very form-fitting athletic wear must be worn with athletic shorts. Students should wear athletic shoes.

Water Bottles

Field Day is a day of fun, but rigorous, physical activity! We will have water stations set up outside, but students should be sure to bring water bottles with them to school so that they have convenient access to water whenever they need it.
